Peter Hudson served for 36 years in the Royal Navy during which time he commanded numerous ships, task groups and operations.  He was involved in leading international groupings in NATO, the EU, East Africa and the Middle East to help address security challenges within the Mediterranean, the Indian Ocean and the Gulf, giving him a unique perspective on the complex relationships between multiple international authorities, regional governments and the commercial sector in the maritime and littoral environment.  As Head of NATO’s Maritime Command he was the senior global maritime advisor within the Alliance and led crisis response planning, operational risk analysis and partnership development for that environment.  In the UK, he served on the Navy Board leading development of future maritime strategies, delivering organisational change and evolving capabilities for the Royal Navy.
