ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

Locations: North Africa, Middle East, Europe, Asia and East Africa (based in UK).

Dougie is a former senior military officer, Arabic and French speaker, with a 35-year international military background focused on counterterrorism, capacity building, conflict prevention, institutional and leadership development, strategic and operational planning and training. Prior to becoming an international consultant, he has filled many defence roles both overseas and within the UK.  He has highly extensive combat operational experience as well as significant experience of the delivery of SSR and CT programmes including innovative capability developments in various highly challenging environments (Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Northern Ireland and Somalia to name a few).  He was Defence Attaché to both UK Embassies in Tunis serving Libya and Tunisia at the centre of UK Pol/Mil, SSR and wider capacity building efforts in both countries in the wake of significant international terrorist crisis across the whole region. Beyond North Africa, Dougie has significant experience working in the Middle East, Europe, Asia and East Africa.
