Lorna is a multilingual senior advisor in communications, reputation management, crisis resolution and stakeholder engagement. A former international editor and reporter for Sky News, she has in-depth understanding of Defence and security from over twenty years’ service in the UK Army. She has a reputation as a leader in the wider communications spectrum; with previous roles including Director of Comms for the African Union Mission in Somalia, stratcomms adviser and campaign lead to the UK government’s Russia team, and working to NATO’s Joint Warfare Centre on the scripting and execution of NATO HQs’ mission rehearsal exercises around the world. She has conducted programme reviews for the United Nations and the UK government focusing on effective stakeholder engagement, communications and mediating between parties in highly contentious environments. Geographically she has worked across Africa, the Middle East and Europe. During the Coronavirus pandemic, she successfully ran a high pressure operation as adviser to the Commander of the UK’s COVID Task Force. In the corporate sphere, she is retained by the Boards of leading commercial and not-for-profit organisations to advise on strategic communications and delivers media training and ‘red teaming’ preparation to Board members in advance of key events.
