Natasha is a professional exploration geologist and mining sustainability specialist with over 25 years’ experience primarily in sub-Saharan Africa, Australia, and Canada.  She combines expertise in ESG strategy formulation with M&A and corporate restructuring, and has worked with listed and private companies, VC enterprises, and member organisations.  Her experience with De Beers, Mwana Africa, and Digby Wells Environmental encompassed operational SHE, climate change mitigation, reputational ethics, and risk management, as well as responsibility for project funding, overseeing external audits in multiple geographies, and the due diligence of investment opportunities. She is consequently cognisant of emerging and developing market challenges, transacting in highly regulated environments, and working with various levels of government.  Natasha is also skilled in navigating complex stakeholder relationships, the remote management of teams in conflict and epidemic situations, and is a published technical author.  In addition, she is a qualified Company Secretary, is proficient in regulatory and compliance reporting, and a certified GRI practitioner.  Natasha is currently the Chair of the Chagos Conservation Trust, a UK based charity dedicated to preserving a unique coral archipelago in the Indian Ocean, and is serving on the Advisory Board of NatureMetrics, a biotech start-up that is commercialising environmental DNA monitoring.
