Elodie is a social performance professional with 20 years’ experience in social policy, human rights, societal risk assessment, corporate responsibility and government and civil society relations. She has a valuable track record of managing key stakeholders at executive and frontline levels in a FTSE100 company. She was formerly Head of Societal Issues and Relationships at BP, leading social policy management, social risk assessment, advocacy and stakeholder engagement. In this role, she led the development of BP’s human rights policy and subsequent implementation, advised executive teams and Board members on societal trends and risks, policy and advocacy positions and provided critical recommendations on new market entry and developed and implemented corporate responsibility strategies in challenging countries. She also worked as Head of Communications for BP’s Upstream business and as Communications and External Affairs Director for BP’s North Africa business. Previously, Elodie worked for the BBC World Service and volunteered for a number of human rights NGOs. More recently, she worked on stakeholder engagement in Albania and Greece, on labour influx issues in Uganda, on supply chain risks globally, on human rights due diligence globally and on socio-economic impact analysis in Chad. She currently serves on the Board of Amerisur Resources, as Non-Executive Director and as a a member of the Advisory Board of Abkons in Albania.
