Jimmy is an award-winning digital and strategic communications specialist who has over 20 years of experience with government, media and corporate communications, centring around digital capability, messaging and capacity building.
He has been the head of digital communications for two Prime Ministers in Downing Street and the head of digital diplomacy for two Foreign Secretaries in the Foreign Office.
In media, he has been executive editor at the Guardian in their B2B editorial divisions, was director for digital at the Independent and, most recently, editor-in-chief at HuffPost UK, and has written for Guardian, Times, Sun, Telegraph, Independent, Newsweek, HuffPost, PR Week and more and has written a number of books.
He has also worked in consumer communications at agency level for Freud Communications, public affairs at Portland Communications and brand strategy at the Home agency.
He has worked as a consultant for 10 years, creating and delivering strategies for governments and politicians in the Balkans, Africa, and Asia; communications, crisis and digital strategies for IGOs such as the OECD and ICANN and worked on all aspects of comms for start-ups and blue chip companies in the UK, the Middle East and Europe.
