Mark is a mining engineer and project manager with over 25 years of operational and consultancy experience on all six continents where mining is permitted. This experience covers both surface and underground operations in the precious and base metals, coal and industrial mineral industries.

Within the consultancy field Mark has provided technical input and managed projects that have ranged from Feasibility Studies on industrial minerals and base metals, Pre-Feasibility Study on gold mines and numerous Scoping Study and Technical Due Diligence Reports. He has also acted as an Independent Lender’s Engineer to financial institutions and signed off Competent Person’s reports for companies in the process of listing, or already listed, on the London and Toronto Stock Exchanges.

Mark’s operational experience is gained from working in Southern Africa where he was employed on the Goldfields of South Africa deep level gold mine; from there he moved across to their underground coal mine and latterly to Anglo American’s open cast mines where he held the statutory post of Mine Manager.

Mark is a Competent Person under the guidelines of the recognised reporting codes, a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and is an Associate member of the Southern Africa Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. He has held a South African Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency for Fiery Mines and has passed the South African examinations for blasting certificates for metalliferous, fiery and opencast operations.
