Mark has 40 years’ experience in the insurance sector, as a broker and as a lawyer.

He was a director of a specialist broking firm working in Credit and Political Risk, placing insurance for major export contracts. After qualifying as a lawyer, he worked as a litigator on insurance and reinsurance disputes in the London insurance market, as well as on regulatory matters for insurance broking houses and for underwriters. He has been UK General Counsel for two London Market insurance groups, running their in-house legal functions and advising their boards on legal and regulatory risks. As a consultant, he has advised boards in the insurance sector on corporate governance and on board effectiveness.

Mark holds an MA from the University of Cambridge, having read English and Law, and is a Solicitor.
