SENIOR ADVISOR
Tim has over 25 years’ experience working with the mining industry. From 2013 to 2020 he was the UK and EMEA Head of Mining & Metals for Deloitte LLP. For the two years leading up to his retirement from Deloitte at the end of 2020, Tim was also the firm’s global lead partner for a FTSE100 major diversified mining company based in London. In this role Tim led a team of partners and staff providing a full range of advisory and consulting services in multiple locations across the world.
Prior to this, Tim was the auditor of a number of mining companies in both Australia and the UK, including constituent companies of the FTSE 100 of the London Stock Exchange. In this role he again led global teams, working to ensure the risks, including risks specific to mining companies, were appropriately reflected and disclosed both at board level and in their public reporting.
Tim is an Honorary Fellow of the Camborne School of Mines and the University of Exeter Business School.
Prior to moving to the UK in 2013 Tim was the Managing Partner of Deloitte in Queensland, Australia. He was the Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Anglican Church Grammar School, Brisbane, one of Australia’s leading private boys schools. He was also a board member and trustee of the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust of the City of Brisbane.
