ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
Nick has a wide-ranging understanding of modern geopolitics, its impact on risk and opportunity in overseas markets, and the implications for business strategy. He is a skilled practitioner of political, security and technical risk management in overseas operations.
Nick spent 32 years in the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office where he held a number of senior diplomatic positions. His last role as Director for Regional and Security Affairs in East Asia gave him a privileged position from which to study the Indo-Pacific and many of the geopolitical, technology and security currents that shape today’s complex global risk picture.
As well as extensive experience on the Middle East and Africa, Nick has held senior roles in business transformation. He has served overseas in Asia, West Africa and Europe. He was also a UK representative on the UN Security Council in New York.
Nick is now an independent consultant supporting businesses on global risk management strategies.
